Lots of fish and fruit stands, a stand that sells draft beer in a sample set of four and some good restaurants.
MoreInteresting market, predominantly selling seafood, but you can buy fruits, and vegetables to. A number of stalls sell snacks of various forms, some have a little gold leaf which is the famous regional speciality. Apart from the touristy snacks, everything is reasonably priced as the market is for locals, there are a number of restaurants too. Worth a visit.
MoreMust visit market at Kanazawa. Plenty of fresh seafood to eat and famous for its cruocette too. Fresh seafood, buy and cut to eat immediately. Grill options are also plenty. Dried seafood and fruits are available for purchase. Sushi restaurants are one of the best options for lunch.
MoreGreat market place.. bought some freshly made mochi there.. tasted great ! Lots of eateries ,fresh seafood ,.. you can even eat huge fresh oysters straight from the fishmonger.. plenty of fruits and vegetables too.
MoreTypical fish market selling fresh fish, crabs n other seafood. Fresh fruits n cut slices of fresh fruits are sold. Grilled meat on sticks n croquettes are available. An interesting n colourful place to visit n indeed it attracts hordes of tourists. People there are polite n welcoming. However, I visited two Japanese restaurants n found the food to be rather expensive selling at fancy tourist prices. We walked away. Guess I expected more.
MoreIt mostly sells fresh food which a tourist from a hotel would have little use for. However, it's still an interesting place to go if you want to see less-touristy attractions. There are also some small restaurants inside. We went to one of them (I think the whole restaurant had maybe ten seats) and it was excellent. Very fresh, very good sushi
MoreThe place to go for Kaisen don (海鮮丼). It’s a dish with lots of seafood, on top of rice. Only tastes good if the ingredients are fresh and I loved it.If you fancy, maybe try some sake as well. I am sure it will suit the dish better than beer!
MoreGreat little market selling seafood, fruits and vegetables. Little pricey but good quality. Walking along I tried the tako croquette, great tasting!
MoreGreat sashimi. Also a perfect place for looking at crab you can never afford to buy ($200 for the pricier ones). If you get a full meal, expect to pay ¥2750-3500 per meal at a restaurant in the market. Smart travelers will find the more reasonably priced area towards the back that has a sitting area (~16 seats) and standing area where you can eat the fresh stuff that you buy in this food court for half the price. Makes you feel slightly less bad about springing for the ¥500 draft beer to wash it all down.
MoreTry fresh Oysters, open at the moment (500Â¥/each).The oysters are big and the quality is very good. They have different prices, take a walk around the fish market and you will find a spot where you can purchase it for 500Â¥. They have different sauces, my recommendation lemon juice and a bit of salt and pepper. Delicious!
